The best way to combat mold in any home is to identify and locate the cause of the mold which is typically a moisture intrusion issue. Without moisture, the mold spores cannot cultivate.
Moisture can come from many sources such as oversized HVAC, incorrect pressurization of buildings or homes, poor insulation, ventilation or leaking components, to mention a few.
Our highly training inspectors have available for use, some of the most sophisticated diagnostic tools available in the industry to help you with these problems. Some of those tools include infrared cameras, moisture meters, hydrometers and professional lab tested mold sampling equipment.
As MSA, we work closely with our clients and conduct pre-inspection interviews for every inspection. We diligently document any problem areas you have to help you negotiate with builders, qualified remediation contractors, insurance companies and anyone else associated with your issues with confidence.

Does your house smell moldy?
A home owner’s nose is sometimes the best tool used to help diagnose a mold problem. Indoor mold is a microscopic organism. The human nose can pick up the natural metabolic process called “off-gassing” in many instances. These gases are known as MVOCs and may indicate that you have a problem hidden in the wall cavities or other areas of your home.
To conduct a mold screening assessment, a pre-interview examination is critical to ensure all the conditions present and observed within your building or home are fully addressed during the inspection.
